Rourke Feinberg

Rourke Feinberg started playing the fiddle around the age of five.  He continues to study and play violin at Stony Brook University, where he is majoring in History.  Rourke is a fine bluegrass singer and he sings lead and harmony parts with the band.  At the age of fifteen, he was hired to play mandolin in the band Straight Drive and in 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Grey Fox/Bill Vernon Memorial Scholarship.  In 2013, Rourke was selected to participate in the NYSSMA/NAfME All-State Orchestra.  His love and knowledge of traditional bluegrass and traditional country music runs deep and beyond his years.  He hosts the Stony Brook Jamboree every other Monday evening from 6pm – 8pm on WUSB 90.1 FM or http://wusb.fm online.
